Sarah is one of the friendly faces greeting you and your pets at Bubu Pet. With 23 years of veterinary experience in the veterinary industry, Sarah loves making sure every client feels supported and every pet leaves with a wagging tail or a happy purr. Outside the clinic, she can usually be found out on long dog walks with her Boxer, Lorenzo, cuddling up with her cat, Rodney, or enjoying a good book.
Karen Swann
CCA (CLIENT CARE ASSISTANT)
With over 30 years of experience in the veterinary industry, Karen is the warm, reassuring presence at our front desk and likely the first friendly face (or voice!) you’ll encounter when visiting us. Her decades of hands-on industry knowledge mean she knows the ins and outs of patient care, client support, and keeping our clinic running seamlessly. At home, Karen is devoted to Finn, her energetic Belgian Shepherd. The two have recently stepped into the ring to try their hand at dog showing. When she isn't busy managing the reception desk or training with Finn, Karen loves unwinding with long countryside dog walks and getting lost in a good book.
Olivia Lamford
VCA (VETERINARY CARE ASSISTANT)
Olivia brings four years of dedicated hands-on experience to our team as a Veterinary Care Assistant. She spent three years working in out-of-hours emergency care—honing her ability to stay calm, gentle, and responsive in high-stakes situations—before transitioning to day practice over the past year. Whether she’s assisting the vets during procedures or comforting a patient in recovery, Olivia is passionate about making every pet’s visit as stress-free as possible. At home, Olivia manages her own lively mini-zoo consisting of two dogs and two cats. When she isn't caring for our patients, you’ll usually find her out exploring new trails with her dogs, tending to her garden, or planning her next travel adventure.

Bringing over two decades of dedicated experience to our team, Sam plays a vital role behind the scenes in keeping our patients comfortable and cared for. Her extensive hands-on experience as a Veterinary Care Assistant makes her a steady, compassionate hand for every animal that walks through our doors—though she holds a particularly special place in her heart for our feline patients. A self-proclaimed cat lover through and through, Sam’s passion for animals extends far beyond the clinic. Outside of work, she loves catching up with friends, socializing, and swapping her scrubs for the dance floor—especially when it involves a getaway to dance in Ibiza.

Dr. Livia is the founder and visionary behind our brand-new practice, Bubu Pet. Her path in animal care began in 2000, leading her to qualify as a Veterinary Nurse in 2003 before pursuing her dream to become a Veterinary Surgeon, fully qualifying in 2007. Originally from Romania, Livia brings a wealthy background of diverse clinical experience paired with a deeply empathetic, gentle approach to modern pet healthcare. As a dedicated mother to two young children and a proud owner of two dogs, Livia understands firsthand that pets are truly part of the family. Her passion for gentle, high-quality care inspired her to open Bubu Pet, where she is committed to treating every patient with the same warmth and dedication she gives her own animals.
Doctor Dana Ulman
Veterinary SURGEON MRCVS
Dr. Dana’s passion for animal care spans over two decades, having first entered the veterinary field in 2002 before fully qualifying as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2012. Originally from Romania, she brings a wealth of clinical expertise, a sharp mind, and a tireless work ethic to the team. Dana is dynamic, always on the move, and deeply dedicated to providing the best possible outcomes for her patients. Outside the clinic, Dana’s life is just as lively. She is the proud owner of two dogs: Sara, a lovable Pug, and Bertie, a Boston Terrier she saved when he was just a vulnerable puppy. Between her bustling daily schedule and keeping up with her pups, Dana is always on the go!
